Thanksgiving is nearly here! We love this time of gathering, abundance, and family. Unfortunately, this is also a time of hectic schedules and stress. To hopefully help alleviate some of that, we have created The Tidy Thanksgiving Planner. This planner is for Thanksgiving hosts who need a little extra help staying organized this year.
The first step is getting your guest list together. Knowing how many people to feed and if there are any dietary restrictions is key. You want to make sure everyone can enjoy the family meal. Once you know who will be there, you can assign others to bring dishes to the dinner. Having others help with the meal is a great way to take some pressure off the host, and it includes others in the meal which is great!
Once the meals are assigned, you can make your grocery list. First, list the ingredients needed for each dish. If you already have some of those ingredients then cross them off. The rest of the items can be sorted into categories on our shopping list page. This way, when you go to the busy grocery store, you’ll have a map laid out of exactly where your items are located.
Now you can start scheduling the cooking. If dishes are cooked at the same temperature then they could be baked together or consecutively. If a dish someone is bringing needs to be heated, include that on the schedule. Once all the dishes are accounted for, you will have a nice plan for the day. You’ll be able to relax knowing that each dish will have its turn in the oven.
We hope this planner makes your Thanksgiving smooth as pumpkin pie! Enjoy the time with your friends and family rather than stressing over the food. Be present and revel in all of the love under your roof.
